A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY WITH THE KENTUCKY
TRANSPORTATION CABINET, TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT
PROGRAM, FOR FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $480,000, FOR THE STEAM
LOCOMOTIVE 1518 RESTORATION & VISITORS PAVILION PROJECT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application and all
documents necessary with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Transportation Enhancement
Grant Program in the amount of $480,000, for the Steam Locomotive 1518 Restoration &
Visitors pavilion Project. These funds will be used for the first phase of this project which
includes a full exterior restoration of the steam locomotive, baggage car, mail car, and caboose
and provides an all-weather overhead cover protecting an elevated walkway that complies with
the Americans With Disabilities Act.
SECTION 2. A local cash match of $100,000 will be required.
SECTION 3. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
