A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
KENTUCKY RECYCLING GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
THROUGH THE KENTUCKY ENVIRONMENTAL AND PUBLIC PROTECTION
CABINET, DIVISION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000 TO
PURCHASE A HORIZONTAL BALER FOR USE AT THE VOLUNTEER -OPERATED
RECYCLING DROP OFF CENTER
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a joint application with
the McCracken County Fiscal Court in partnership with the Jackson Purchase Resource
Conservation and Development Foundation, Greater Paducah Sustainability, and Recycle Now,
for a Kentucky Recycling Grant through the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection
Cabinet, Division of Waste Management in the amount of $60,000, to purchase a horizontal baler
for use at the Recycling Drop -Off Center at 1851 North 8th Street.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah and McCracken County Fiscal Court hereby
agree that the City shall act as the lead government agency in meeting all grant requirements,
including a 50150 local cash match of $7,500 each, for a total match of $15,000.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
