ORDINANCE NO. 77-9-1466
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF HERBERT MARTIN AND WIFE,
ETHEL MARIE MARTIN, 1509 NORTH TENTH STREET, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST
OF THE CITY IN LOT 10 BLOCK 10 ROWLAND PLACE ADDITION ON H. C. MATHIS
DRIVE, FOR THE SUM OF' $1380.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1:. That the offer of Herbert Martin and wife, Ethel Marie Martin,
in the amount of $1380.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following
described land in said City be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Lot 10, Block 101 Rowland Place addition, fronting
50 feet on the west side. of H. C. Mathis Drive,
155 feet deep, 450 feet more or less south of 14th
Street, and as shown on page 84.. of Block Map
Book 3 in the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (M. B. Canada and Fannie Row-
land property) conveyed to the. City of Paducah on
August 4, 1977 by Benjamin C. LeRoy, Treasurer,
y deed of record in Deed Book 597,
page 9 in the
McCracken County Court Clerks office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $1380.00 (plus $5.50 for re-
cording' fee to be paid by the 'City) to the City'Treasurer, the Mayor 'and 'City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Herbert Martin and wife, Ethel Marie
Martin, all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in
Section 1 hereof and that said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall
contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts as might
be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
