AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING COMPANY
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II :OF THE .COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, FOR THE SUM OF $157,977.45, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO. .EXECUTE. A, CONTRACT FOR. -SUCH CONSTRUCTION
..BE IT, ORDAINED. ,BY; THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS. OF. THE CITY
OF , PADUCAH KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Central Paving
Company for_ construction of Phase II of. ,the Community Development Street Improve-
ment,Program,.. for the sum. of $157,977.45, said bid being in substantial. -,compliance
with the resolution _authorizing bids, . which .:was, adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on June 14, 1977.
SECTION 2. - That the City Manager be, and, he is hereby,- .authorized
to execute. a contract with Central Paving; Company for construction. of ā€˛Phase JI of
the Community Development. Street.Improvement Program,. which.; contract . shall be
in compliance with Section 1 above, the,. resolution- authorizing bids, plans. and..
specifications . and the , bid of Central Paving .Company .
SECTION 3.. The cost._ of this project ,shall be paid; from. Community ..
Development Block- Grant funds_.
SECTION 4,. An, emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance,.
shall therefore be.. introduced and remain on file for , at .least. one ,week. for public.
inspection in the completed form in which it ,shall be put upon; its final .passage,
.and if adopted _shall. be in full force and effect immediately, thereafter.
