ORDINANCE NO. 77-7-1435
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GENE GRIEF 8, SONS, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A SOUTHSIDE FIRE STATION LOCATED ON YEISER STREET AT
BETHEL STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Gene Grief & Sons, Inc.
for construction of a Southside Fire Station located on Yeiser Street at Bethel Street, for the
sum of Two Hundred Two Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Six Dollars ($202,476.00), said
bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids
as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 10, 1977,
and as contained in the bid of Gene Grief & Sons, Inc . , dated June 9, 1977.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
a contract with Gene Grief & Sons, Inc . , for the construction of a Southside Fire Station,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved
and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said construction shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2225.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
