HomeMy WebLinkAboutClean Community CommitteeA RESOLUTION PLEDGING THE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH;" KENTUCKY TO THE CLEAN COMMUNITY COMMITTEE BE IT RESOLVED BY 'THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PAD'UCAH, KENTUCKY: In this Bicentennial Year, the City of Paducah, Kentucky desires to give special.. recognition to the endeavors of the Clean Community Committee for their efforts in making our city a cleaner, healthier, and better place to live . The members of this Board and the Clean Community Committee challenge each of our citizens to follow the" words.- of the poet, wherein it is said: "If the hearts of the builders are noble, in one with the day and the need, they build unto grandeur and greatness for thus it was ever decreed . So take up your work as you find it, nor grumble at what. you have not . Be one of the men to make greater the place where you. have cast your lot ." --NOW; THEREFORE,:- The Board 'of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby call upon all city officials to- support and assist the Clean Community Committee, and further calls upon all citizens, civic organizations and businesses "to make a new and vigorous effort to aid the Clean Community Committee in making the community where we have cast our lot one' tYiat is cleaner, safer, and a healthier environment: IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto- set my hand this 14th day of December, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred seventy-six. ,- ii ~i Mayor Passed by the Board of Commissioners December 14, 1976 Recorded by Louise McKinney, City Clerk, December 14, 1976. ::_ ~, ;:-~- r
