ORDINANCE NO. 76-6-1285
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COIVINIISSION RESPECTING' TIiE'REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHSIDE
ANNEXED AREA, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE=197I`SO AS TO
EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE -BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE' CITY OF
PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution"adopted. by the Paducah Planning Commission
on June 7, 1976, entitled "A RESOLUTION"CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH-PLANNING COMMISSION` ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED
IN THE SOUTHSIDE ANNEXED AREA" , be approved as the final report of said Commission
respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION' 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and
it is hereby, changed fram~R-1, Low Density Residential Zone to B-3, GerieraT Business
Zone:
Beginning at a point where the present easterly city limits
intersects the northeasterly right-of-way line. of the Paducah
Floodw~all; thence iri a southeasterly .and southerly direction
with said floodwall right-of=way and the floodwall right-of-
way, if extended, ~to the southerly right-of-way line of the
Beltline Highway; thence with the southerly line of said
Highway to the west line of Arizona Street; thence in a
southerly direction with said west line of Arizona Street
to the north right=of-way line of the I . C .R .R . ; thence with
the right-of-way line of the I.C.R.R. in a northwesterly
direction to the present city limits at the Benton Road; thence.
with said city limits line in a northeasterly, ~ easterly and
northeasterly direction to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative , ineffective or invalid for any cause , the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this
ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections , paragraphs and provisions .
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption .
