AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION' 2-47 "NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES
GENERALLY" , OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE. CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY'THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That Section 2-47 "Noncivil service employees generally"
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentueky,~ be amended and reordained
so that same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec . 2-47 . Noncivil service employees generally .
(a) Tle monthly or hourly rate of compensation of the following noncivil
service employees'of the City-of Paducah shall be the amount set opposite the designation
ofsucli employment, to-wit:

(b) The code enforcement officer A shall be paid at the rate of $770.00
per month for the first year of employment; -at the expiration ~of one year $780.00
per month; and at the expiration of two years $790.00 per month; ouch increases
to be made upon recommendation of the city manager .
(c) The code enforcement officer B shall be paid at the rate of $745.00
per month for the first year of -employment; at the expiration of gone year-$755.00 per
month; and- at the expiration of two years $765.00 per month, such increases to be
made upon recommendation of the city 'manager-.
(d) The switchboard operator shall be ~ paid at the rate of $435.00 per
month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $445.00
per month; at the expiration of one year $~45~5 : 00 -per ° month; and at the expiration
of two years $465:00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of
the city manager . ~ - - - - ,., ~ -
(e) Thee clerk-typist-secretary police department, shall be paidr at the rate
of $560.00 per month for the first six months of~employmenf; :at tYie-°expiration of six
months$570.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $580.00 per month; and at
the expiration of two years--$590.00 per month, such increases- to be made upon
recommendation of the city manager .

~' (f) The; assistant police court clerk shall ° be~ paid ~ at the rste' of $490.00
per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of; six months
$530.00 per month; at the' expiration of one year $54U.00 per' month; - at the. expiration
of two years $55.0.00 per month; and at the expiration of three years $560.00 per
month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(g) The community development housing clerk-stenographer shall be paid
at the rate of $580.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the
expiration of six months $590.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $600.00
per month; at the expiration of two years $610.00 per month, such increases to be
made upon recommendation of the city manager .
(h) The clerk-typist planning and development department shall be paid
at the rate of $490.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the
expiration of six months $535.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $545.00
per month; at the expiration of two years $555.00 per month; at the expiration of
three years $565.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation
of the city manager .
(i) The executive secretary -general government shall be paid at the
rate of $590.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration
of six months $600.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $610:OU per month;
at the 'expiration 'of two years $620.00 p°er- month; and at the expiration of four
years $630.OU' per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the
city manager . ..
(j) For such period of time as the .City of Paducah. ~ received and must
account for general revenue sharing funds and any 'special revenue sharing funds
from the United States Government, the "city' treasurer shall be compensated for his
extra services in an amount equal to $25.00 per month. Any of the foregoing
positions in subsection (a) may hereafter from time to time be designated ~ for payment
fron said revenue sharing funds upon motion duly passed by the board of
commissioners ~of the City of -Paducah:
(k) Eor such period of time as the City of Paducah receives general
and/or special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government, the
board of commissioners may, upon recommendation of the city manager, employ by
motion such additional personnel as the -city 'may need from time to time, and the
salaries paid shall be the same as those provided by ordinance for comparable
positions. The salaries paid shall be from federal revenues but the position
created shall provide all benefits as are now required for the full-time permanent
employees of the City of Paducah."

SECTION 2 . This ordinance amends an ordinance originally adopted on
March 16, 1957, and last amended by Ordinance No. 76-2-1232 adopted February
24; 1976.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in 'full force and `effect on and
after March 29, 1976.
