ORDINANCE NO. 76-3-1237
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF ANDREW W . MORTON AND
HIS WIFE , FLORENCE B . MORTON , 424 SOUTH 7TH STREET , PADUCAH , KENTUCKY ,
TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
422 SOUTH ?TH STREET FOR THE SUM OF $600.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Andrew W . Morton and his wife, Florence B .
Morton in the amount of $600.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following
described land therein be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Being at 422 South 7th Street, fronting 32 feet on the East
side of 7th Street 118 feet North of Adams Street, and
running back East 165 feet to an alley , and as shown on
page 72 of Block Map Book No . 1 in the office of the City
Engineer. (See Deed Book 108, page 335)
Being the same land (Gerdena Payton property) conveyed to
the City ~of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by
deed dated September 18, 1975 and recorded in Deed Book 574
page 831 in the 1VIcCracken County Court Clerk's office..
SECTION 2 . Upon the payment of the sum of $600.00 to the City Treasurer ,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to convey to Andrew W . Morton and his
wife, Florence B : Morton, all the right, title and interest of the City in the property
described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only,
shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might
be shown by an accurate survey .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
