AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND
CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $2,145.00 TO THE PADUCAH AIRPORT
CORPORATION AS THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COURT COSTS AND FEES INCURRED
IN THE DEFENSE OF THE LITIGATION ENTITLED , O . T .'ALLEN AND MARTHA SUE ALLEN
VS. PADUCAH AIRPORT CORPORATION, CITY OF PADUCAH AND McCRACKEN COUNTY,
KENTUCKY, McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT, CIVIL ACTION NO. 12344
WHEREAS, on February 6, 1973, O. T. Allen and wife, Martha Allen, filed
in the McCracken Circuit Court, Civil Action No. 12344, a lawsuit against the Paducah
Airport Corporation , City of Paducah and McCracken County , Kentucky , and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid action was tried on August 11, 1975 in the McCracken
Circuit Court , and
WHEREAS , the Paducah Airport Corporation incurred various expenses and
fees in providing the defense to the aforesaid claims , and
WHEREAS , after being sufficiently informed concerning the .nature of the
action and the expenses and fees incurred, the Board of Commissioners .of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, now deems that a payment to the Paducah Airport Corporation
of a portion of the aforesaid expenses and fees would be appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City 1Vlanager and, the. City Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to pay the sum of $2,145.OU to the Paducah Airport Corporation
,.
as a portion of the fees and expenses, incurred in defending the aforementioned litigation .
SECTION 2. That Account No. 11,27 is to be charged with the aforesaid sum.
SECTION 3... This ordinance shall be introduced and .remain on file for one week
for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon. its final passage ,
and if adopted shall be in full force and effect .ten (10). days thereafter.. ,
