Home My WebLink About80-10-2003832 ORDINANCE NO. 80-10-2003 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF POWER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS IN THE NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AREA, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 80-6-1920, ACCEPTING THE BID OF T .8 M CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, bids were requested for construction of sidewalks in the North- side Community Development Area, and WHEREAS, said bids were opened on May 21, 1980, and awarded to T E M Construction Company, and WHEREAS, T 8 M Construction Company has been unable to obtain a per- formance bond as requested in the bid specifications, and by letter dated Oct- ober 2, 1980, T 6 M requested that they be released from all contractual obligations in this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Power Construction Company for construction of sidewalks in the Northside Community Development Area, for the sum of $32,342.90; said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on April 22, 1980 and as contained in the bid of Power Construction Company, dated May 21, 1980. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Power Construction Company for construction of sidewalks as authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said construction shall be charged to Community Development Block Grant Funds. SECTION 4. That Ordinance No. 80-6-1920, accepting the bid of T 8 M Construction Company for construction of these sidewalks be repealed in its entirety. SECTION 5.
