AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE-'FINA'L REPORT OF THE 'PADUCAH PLANNING I
COMMISSION 'RESPECTING THE' REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE BARKLEY
PARK AREA, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE 1976 SO AS TO
EFFECT SUCH -REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Com-
mission on July -24, 1980, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT
OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY I
LOCATED- 1N THE BARKLEY PARK AREA", be: approved . as the final report of said
Commission respecting the. -matters therein -set -forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and, the map amendment
proposed to said: resolution- be, and -the same -are hereby, declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan, of the :City of Paducah:
SECTION 3.. That the . Zone, classification of the ,following property, be; and
it is hereby, changed from C-1, Conservancy Zone to B-3, .General Business Zone:-.
—Beginning point of intersection of the centerline of Riverside
Drive (2nd Street) with the floodwall on the north side of Madison
Street; thence generally with the floodwall in an overall northwest-
erly direction with the existing C-1 zone boundary to the intersection
of the floodwall with the east right of way line of Campbell Street
projected; thence in a northerly direction with the east right of way
line of Campbell Street projected to the low water mark on the Ohio
River; thence in an easterly direction with the Ohio River low water
mark to a point in the north property line of land now or formerly
owned by W. W. Jackson; thence in a southwesterly direction with
the north property line of W. W. Jackson projected to a point in the
centerline of Riverside Drive (2nd Street); thence in an easterly
direction with the:-center)-ine :of Riverside Drive (2nd Street) to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section,
paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to
make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
be effective upon publication.
