AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DIAMOND CRYSTAL SALT COMPANY
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF SODIUM CHLORIDE FOR THE 1980-81
WINTER SEASON (THROUGH MARCH 31, 1981), FOR THE SUM OF $26.14 PER TON, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Diamond Crystal Salt
Company for sale to the
City of its
requirement of
Sodium Chloride for..
the
1980-81
winter
season (through March
31, 1981),
for the sum of
$26.14 per ton; said
bid
being in
sub=
stantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authoriz-
ed by
resolution
passed by the Board of
Commissioners on
May
13,
1980, and as con-
tained
in the bid
of Diamond Crystal Salt
Company, dated
May
21,
1980.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Diamond Crystal Salt Company for the sodium chloride
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said sodium chloride shall be
charged to General Fund Account No. 3412.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
