AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTIONS 8-33,
AND 8-36 OF. ARTICLE
III,
OAK GROVE- CEMETERY GENERALLY,
OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION
1. That
Section 8-33, _ price
of grave
lots sold under single
grave privilege, be
amended
and reordained so
that said
section shall hereafter
read as follows:
"All grave lots sold in Oak Grove Cemetery and additions thereto,
including Rushing Addition, under what is known as the single_grave privilege,
the price thereof is hereby fixed at a minimum of one hundred ' dollars. ($100.00)
per grave, with certain exceptions requiring higher and lower prices as follows:
(a) In the Mausoleum Addition:
Crypts (top tier) $ 1; 300.00
Crypts (2nd row from top) 1,400.00
Crypts ; (bottom three rows) 1,500.00
Alcoves (5 crypts)
Tombs (10 crypts)
(b) In the first row facing Rushing Street in
Section 6
(c) In the second row of Section 6 behind the
foregoing lots facing Rushing Street
(d) All lots in Sections 6, 7, 18, 19 and_ 29. in Oak

Grove Cemetery, the price per grave shall :be 125.00
(e) For the small size grave lots in certain sections.
for the burial of . children 12 years of age and
under, :the pricel per grave i shall be 50.00"
SECTION: 2.. T:hatr-Section::8-36,:-_Charge for opening,and.closing graves;
other cemetery services; deposit, be: amended and reordained so that said section
shall hereafter read as follows:
"The charge for opening. andclosing of:_ graves, for the use of the
receiving vault, and other- cemetery -services shall 'be as -follows:
BURIAL PERMIT -FOR OPENING GRAVES.
WEEKDAYS- AND AFTER 1: 00 P.M. Monday:
Box or vault for adult

ALL THE ABOVE PRICES INCLUDE PERPETUAL CARE.
USE OF RECEIVING VAULT
The charges for use of thereceiving vault pending
burial for the first month, or part thereof 30.00
.For any period of time in excess of the first month,
per month, or any part thereof 20.00
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Sodding grave or grave 'lot,' other than replacing avail=
able sod following grave opening 25.00
Setting government: markers 20.00
Placing or erecting foundations for grave slabs:: 35.00
All monument foundations will be poured by the
cemetery department at a per >square foot cost of 10.00
All additional services such as- the planting, relocating 'or removing of
trees or shrubs, the construction or removal of curbs, and such services. shall
be at actual cost or, at designated rates to be prescribed- and determined by the
cemetery department superintendent.
The owner of any lot, a member of - the owner's immediate family or his
next of kin, or the funeral director, - must sign- an -order for any work required
to be performed on such lot and in the case of grave openings the order must
contain a description or diagram locating the place on the lot. fora the opening.
The person executing the aforesaid work order must also deposit with the
superintendent of Oak Grove Cemetery the -suin of -one hundred dollars --($100.00)

to insure the placement of a marker or monument at the grave site. The de-
posit shall- be fully_ refundable if a, marker or monument is erected within ninety
(9.0)_ days- after burial. In the event the monument or_ marker, has, not been
erected within ninety (90) days, after -burial the superintendent of the ._Oak Grove, _
Cemetery shall -cause to be erected a permanent type_ marker or monument to
be paid for out of the aforesaid deposit. Any sum not actually expended_ shall
be refunded to ,the party executing the work order".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which_ it shall be
put upon its final passage, and_ if adopted shall be in full force ,and effect
ten (10) days thereafter.
