At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held in the Commission Chambers at
City Hall, at 8:00 A.M., Saturday, October 9, 1999, Mayor Jones presided, and upon call
of the roll by the City Clerk, the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Coleman, Paxton, Wrye and Mayor Jones (4). Commissioner Smith was absent (1).

Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the
executed Notices of Called Meeting for 8:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 1999, be received
and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Paxton, Wrye and
Mayor Jones (4).
ORDINANCES - ADOPTION
SPECIAL HALF YEAR 1998 TAX LEVY FOR PADUCAH JUNIOR COLLEGE
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the
Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AFFIXING
THE LEVIES AND RATES OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY WHICH IS
LOCATED IN DISTRICT 9 AS DEPICTED IN THE RECORDS OF McCRACKEN
COUNTY PROPERTY VALUATION ADMINISTRATOR'S OFFICE FOR SCHOOL
PURPOSES FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 1999, THROUGH JUNE 30,
1999, WITH THE PURPOSE OF SAID TAXES AS HEREUNDER DEFINED". This
ordinance reads as follows:
It is hereby levied an ad valorem tax of one and five -tenths cents ($0.015) on each one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of all real property subject to taxation
C: which is located in District 9 for the period from January 1, 1999, through June 30, 1999,
for the purpose of aiding, assisting, and maintaining Paducah Junior College, which tax
shall be and the same is declared to be a tax for school purposes.
There is hereby levied an ad valorem tax of one and seven -tenths cents ($0.017) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of all personal property subject to
taxation located in District 9, except for inventory, for the period of January 1, 1999,
through June 30, 1999, for the purposes of aiding, assisting, and maintaining Paducah
Junior College, which tax shall be and the same is declared to be a tax for school
purposes.
The levy for the ad valorem tax on inventory located in District 9, as historically defined
by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, shall be set at the specified rate set forth below per one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation for the purpose of aiding, assisting, and
maintaining Paducah Junior College, which tax shall be and the same is hereby declared to
be a tax for school purposes as follows:

1999-2000 PROPERTY TAXES
Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE
LEVIES AND RATES OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
AND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1999,
THROUGH JUNE 30, 2000, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID TAXES
THEREUNDER DEFINED".

The City of Paducah shall collect the following taxes for the Board of Education:

Property taxes levied herein shall be due and payable in the following manner:
The first half payment shall be due on November 1, 1999, and shall be payable
without penalty and interest until November 30, 1999.
The second half payment shall be due on February 1, 2000, and shall be payable
without penalty and interest until February 29, 2000.

ORDINANCE - INTRODUCTION
PURCHASE RIGHT OF WAY FOR REAR ENTRANCE TO NOBLE PARK
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the
Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
J AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR THE PURCHASE OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2560 CAIRO ROAD BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH." This ordinance is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to
execute a deed and all documents necessary for the purchase of 2.078 acres of real
property located at 2560 Cairo Road, from Rental Housing, Inc., in the amount of
$41,560.00. This property is to be used to construct another point of ingress and egress
to Noble Park.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
