AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES FORD & HONDA
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF FIVE (5) REFUSE TRUCKS, INCLUDING ONE LN -7000,
THREE LN -8000 AND ONE CT -8000 FORD TRUCKS, FOR A TOTAL SUM OF $115,061.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Allan Rhodes Ford
& Honda for sale to the City of Five (5) Refuse Trucks, including one LN -7000, three
LN -8000 and one CT -8000 Ford Trucks, for a total sum of $115,061.00; said bid being
in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as
was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 27,
1979, and as contained in the bid of Allan Rhodes Ford & Honda, dated December 28,
1979
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes Ford & Honda for the purchase of Refuse trucks
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said trucks shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3514.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
