(c) The computer audit clerk shall be paid at the rate of $696.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $706.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $716.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $726.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $736.00 per month, and at the expiration of four years $746.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. 940 (d) The secretary shall be paid at the rate of $696.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $706.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $716.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $726.00 per month, and at the expiration of four years $746.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (e) The clerk -typist shall, be paid at the rate of $578.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $623.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $633.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $643.00 per month; and at the expiration of three years $653.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (f) The bookkeeper shall be paid at the rate of $779.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $789.00 per month; and at the expiration of two years $799.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (g) For such period of time as the City of Paducah receives and must account for general revenue sharing funds and any special revenue sharing funds from the United States Government, the auditor and bookkeeper shall be com- pensated for their extra services in an amount as follows: Auditor $30.00 per month. Bookkeeper $20.00 per month. Any of the foregoing positions in subsection (a) may hereafter from time to time be designated for payment from said revenue sharing funds upon motion duly passed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. (h) The assistant license inspector shall be paid at the rate of $709.00 per month for the first year of employment; at the expiration of one year $719.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $729.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $739.00 per month, and at the expiration of four years $749.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. SECTION 2. That Section 10-51 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-51. Engineering department. (d) Janitor and laborer positions shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months there may be an increase of $0.05 per hour; at the expiration of one year there may be an additional increase of $0.05 per hour; and at the expiration of two years there may be an additional increase of $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (e) The clerk -typist shall be paid at the rate of $578.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $623.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $633.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $643.00 per month; and at the expiration of three years $653.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (f) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one employee in his department to act as a lead -man or part-time working foreman to serve in such capacity at the direction of the chief of the maintenance division, or at such times as the chief of the maintenance division is on leave. The employee so designated shall be paid an additional $0.15 per hour during such times as the employee designated actually serves in such capacity. (g) The City Clerk shall be paid at the rate of $1,038.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $1,048.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $1,058.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $1,068.00 per month; and at the expiration of four years $1,078.00 per month; such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (h) The Administrative Clerk shall be paid at the rate of $813.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $823.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $833.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $843.00 per month and at the expiration of four years $853.00 per month; such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager". SECTION 9. This ordinance amends Sections 10-49, 10-51; 10-52; 10-55; 10-56; 10-58; 10-59 and 10-61 of Ordinance No. 77-12-1503 which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 13, 1977. 947 SECTION 1Q. This ordinance shall be in full force -:and: effect from: and after the -dater-of its- adoption; and retroactive to July 3j: 197:8. : ;
