ORDINANCE NO. 78-7-1585
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN BROADWAY
AND JEFFERSON STREETS, EAST OF NORTH 30TH STREET, AND AMENDING THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF

PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on July 3, 1978, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED
BETWEEN BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON STREETS, EAST OF NORTH 30TH STREET", be
approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION .2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and
it is hereby, changed from R-1 Low Density Residential Zone to B-1, Convenience and
Service Zone:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Broadway between
28th-- and 30th Streets; which point -lies iupon -an extension
of the westerly line of A. F. and Elka Warren; thence in a
northerly- direction and- with the line of .,A-. F -.-:and- Elka
Warren 204.14 feet; thence in an easterly direction and with
the rear, - line -6f-'A-.' F and Elka - Warren. 5.0- feet to a point;
thence in a northerly direction and with the westerly line
of Charles and Evelyn Gholson 218.52 feet to the center line of Jefferson Street; thence in a westerly direction and with
the center line of Jefferson Street 250 feet to a point; thence
at right angles and in a southerly direction 424.75 feet to the
center line of Broadway; thence at right angles and in an
easterly direction with the center line of Broadway 200 feet
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordi-
nance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from
all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
