life was saved. She just wanted to say thank you and let the public know how important it is
to have smoke alarms installed and working in your home.

on Monday, December 7th. The types of pavilions to be bid are air supported structure and a
tension fabric structure with frame support. Bidders were instructed to provide three pricing
options: 1) year to year lease; 2) 5 year lease with option to purchase and 3) complete

cost between $3.5 million to $4 million.
Also, Mr. Thompson reminded everyone of the parade on Saturday night at 5:00 p.m.
Former Parks employee Pat Earles and former Fire Chief Redell Benton are the grand
marshals.
MANAGER REPORT
The City Manager distributed a handout of events happening during the holiday season.
COMMISSIONER CONCERNS
Commissioner Gault had a meeting with the Mayor and Pastor Henderson to address
diversity issues. She mentioned the Board meeting on a Saturday with some of the African-
American pastors to help bring out issues into the community. She thinks it will be a good
way to find out what people are thinking and then decide what the next step will be.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
