AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY BETWEEN THE KENTUCKY
OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A
MATCHING GRANT FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN EMERGENCY GENERATOR
TO BE INSTALLED AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky Office of
Homeland Security grant by Municipal Order No. 1779 on June 24, 2014 for the
purchase of one emergency generator to be installed at the Paducah Police Department;
and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary with the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security for a 2014 grant award in the
amount of $75,000 for the purchase of one emergency generator to be installed at the
Paducah Police Department. The City's cash match of $105,765 will be provided
through the Police Department FY2015 budget.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project account
P00083.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
