ORDINANCE NO. 78-12-1655
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT TO H & G CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC. , IN THE AMOUNT OF - $9,060._00 FOR PERSONNEL AND - EQUIPMENT
USED' TO COVER REFUSE ON THE CITY'S LANDFILL, RATIFYING THE ACTION OF
THE CITY MANAGER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, during ' the 'past few months - mechanical problems and weather
have hindered the efforts for coverage of refuse on the City's landfill, 'and'
WHEREAS-, it was deemed by ' the City 'Manager , upon the advice of the
director, of -Public Services, that an emergency existed and that it was imperative
that additional personnel and equipment be obtained, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, pursuant to KRS � 424.260 , certified an
emergency" existed and authorized the immediate procural of the necessary equip-
ment to properly cover the refuse at the landfill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City pay the invoice of H & G Construction Company,
Inc. , in the amount of $9,060.00, to cover refuse on -the City landfill, said invoice
being in substantial compliance with the quotation submitted by H & G Construction
Company, Inc.
SECTION 2. The action of the City Manager, pursuant to KRS 424.260,
certifying an emergency existed is hereby approved and his actions thereunder
are hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said services shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3523.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
