ORDINANCE NO. 78-11-1642
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF TODD UNIFORM SERVICE COMPANY
FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH UNIFORMS FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE
VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Todd
Uniform Service Company for furnishing the City with uniforms for employees in the
various departments, said bid having unit prices of $0.42 each for shirts, $0.42 each
for pants and $0.84 each for coveralls, with a minimum charge of $137.00 per week,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement
for bids as was authorized by a resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on
July 11, 1978, and as contained in the bid of Todd Uniform Service Company dated
July 24, 1978.
SECTION 2.. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Todd Uniform Service Company of Mayfield, Kentucky, for
furnishing the City with uniforms as authorized in Section 1 above according to
the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
