ORDINANCE
APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH
PLANNING
COMMISSION
RESPECTING
THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED
AT SIXTH
AND
MONROE STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1976 SO AS
TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on December 17, 1979, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF
THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED ON NORTH SIXTH STREET, SOUTH OF MONROE STREET", be approved as
the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment pro-
posed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and
it is hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to B-2, Central
Business District Zone:
Beginning at a point where the easterly right of way line of
Sixth Street intersects the southerly right of way line of Monroe
Street; said beginning point also being located 346.5 feet north
of the point where the easterly right of way line of Sixth Street
intersects the northerly right of way line of Jefferson Street;
thence in an easterly direction from said point of beginning
along and with the southerly right of way line of Monroe Street
a distance of 203.25 feet to a point where the easterly property
line of A. B. McGowan joins with the westerly property line of
Mrs. Pauline Sevier; thence in a southerly direction with the
McGowan -Sevier property line a distance of 206.25 feet to a
point; thence in a westerly direction toward Sixth Street a
distance of 203.25 feet to a point in the center line of Sixth
Street; thence in a northerly direction and with the center line
of Sixth Street a distance of 206.25 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for .any cause, the deficiency
o% invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section,
paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to
make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
