AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47(a) "NON CIVIL SERVICE
EMPLOYEES
GENERALLY"
BY ADDING THE TEMPORARY
POSITION OF ENGINEERING
CO-OP, AT
A SALARY OF
$1,000.00 PER MONTH; AND
CREATING SUB -SECTION (i)
TO SAID SECTION 2-47 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, BY ADDING STEP INCREASES FOR THE CLERK TYPIST IN THE FIRE
MARSHALL'S OFFICE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-47(a) "Non Civil Service Employees Generally"
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended to add the
position of Temporary Engineering Co -Op, at a salary of $1,000.00 per month.
SECTION 2. The position of Temporary Engineering Co -Op shall be entitled
to all employee benefits, except he shall not be entitled to any pension benefits whatsoever.
SECTION 3. The position of Temporary Engineering Co -Op shall be limited
to one year's duration.
SECTION 4. That Section 2-47 "Non Civil Service Employees Generally" of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained
so that same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-47. Noncivil Service Employees Generally.
(i) The clerk -typist in the Fire Marshall's Office shall be paid at the rate
of $636.00 per month for the first six months of employment in this position; at the
expiration of six months $681.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $691.00 per
month; at the expiration of two years $701.00 per month; at the expiration of three
years $711.00 per month such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager".
SECTION 5. That all other provisions of Section 2-47 "Non Civil Service
Employees Generally" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be
reaffirmed and reordained.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
January 2, 1980.
