AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE HOURS FOR ON PREMISES CONSUMPTION
OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR OR BEVERAGES AND MALT BEVERAGES AND 'BEER
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section III, paragraph 6 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paducah be amended and reordained to read as follows:
"Sec. 3-6. When retail premises to be closed -Alcoholic liquor or beverages.
No premises for which there has been granted a license for the sale at
retail of alcoholic liquor or beverages shall be permitted to remain open for any
purpose between—the hours of 3:00 o'clock a.m. for on -premises consumption or'12:00
o'clock midnight for package sales and 8: 00 o'clock a.m. on any week -day, nor be-
tween 3: 00 o'clock a.m. for on -premises consumption or 12: 00 midnight for package
sales on Sunday and the lawful time for opening on Monday morning, nor during the
time ,the polls are open, on any election 'day".
SECTION 2. Section III, "paragraph 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, is hereby amended and reordained to read as follows: -
"Sec 3-7. Same --Malt beverages and beer.
`No premises for which there has been granted a license for the sale at
retail of malt beverages and beer shall be permitted ` to remain open for any purpose
between the hours of 3: 00 o'clock a.m. for on premises consumption, and' 6: 00 o'clock
a.m. on any weekday , nor between 3: 00 o' clock a.m. for on premises -consumption or
12: 00 midnight for package sales on Sunday, and the lawful time for opening on
Monday' morning; nor during the time the polls are open on any election day".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced' and remain on file for
one weekfor public inspection 'in the completed form in, which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect as of December 31,
1979.
