ORDINANCE NO. 79-9-1797
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1514, 1534
AND 1540 ALEXANDER AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -
1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on September 17, 1979, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT
OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED
AT
1514, 1534 AND 1540 ALEXANDER AVENUE",
be approved as the final
report of
said
Commission respecting the matters therein
set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agree-
ment with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be,
and it is hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to M-2, Heavy
Industrial Zone:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of a 20' alley and the
centerline of Paxton Street 165' west of the west right of way
line of Bloom "Avenue; thence in `a westerly direction with the
centerline of Paxton Street to a point in the centerline of
Alexander Avenue; thence in a northerly direction with the
centerline of Alexander Avenue to a point in the existing M-2
Zone; thence in an easterly direction with the existing M-2
Zone to a point in the centerline of a 20' alley; thence in a
southerly direction with the centerline of said 20' alley to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this
ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
