ORDINANCE NO. 79-9-1785
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAMES SANDERS NURSERY
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE 850 JOHN DEERE RUBBER TIRED TRACTOR, FOR
THE SUM OF $6,909.40, LESS $1,500.00 FOR TRADE-IN OF A 1974 MELROE BOBCAT
LOADER, MAKING A NET COST OF $5,409.40, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of James Sanders
Nursery for sale to the City of One 850 John Deere Rubber Tired Tractor, for
the sum of $6,909.40, less $1,500.00 for trade-in of a 1974 Melroe Bobcat Loader,
making a net cost of $5,409.40; said bid being in substantial compliance with the
bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed
by the Board of Commissioners on August 14, 1979, and as contained in the bid
of James Sanders Nursery, dated August 24, 1979.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with James Sanders Nursery for sale to the City of the
rubber tired
tractor
authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications,
bid proposal
and all
contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated
in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said Tractor shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3314.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten
days thereafter.
