ORDINANCE NO. 79-9-1784
AN ORDINANCE "EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF- THE CITY , OF PADUCAH ,
BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO- THE ' CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY," AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY
TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, on July 24, 1979, the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, passed an ordinance proposing annexation of the property
hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation was pursuant to KRS 81.275 and
involved property of only the City of Paducah, who had no objection to the annex-
ation and have consented thereto, and
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of
the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described
property.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and
be made a part of, the City of Paducah, Kentucky; the said real property being
more particularly and accurately described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Hendron Water District
west property line, if extended, with the north right of way
line of Burger Road, said point also being near the west right
of way line of the Old Mayfield Road; thence North 89 degrees
00 minutes 00 seconds West along said north right of way line
of Burger Road, a distance of 916.20 feet to the intersection
with the east property line of the William C. Burger and Louis
F. Burger property; thence North 0 degrees 44 minutes 49
seconds East along said east property line, a distance of 221.00
feet to an iron pipe; thence North 89 degrees 15 minutes 11
seconds West a distance of 225.66 feet to an iron pipe in the
east property line of the J. F. Terrell property; thence North
0 degrees 55 minutes 36 seconds East along said east property
line of the J. F. Terrell property a distance of 14.85 feet to
the northeast corner of said property; thence North 89 degrees
09 minutes 36 seconds West along the north line of said J. F.
Terrell property, a distance of 240.24 feet to the northwest
corner of said Terrell property; thence South 0 'degrees 50
minutes 00 seconds West along the west line of the J. F. Ter-
rell property, a distance of 234.91 feet to the north right of
way line of Burger Road; thence North 89 degrees 00 minutes
00 seconds West along the aforementioned north right of way
line of Burger Road, a distance of 123.99 feet to an iron pipe
at the southeast corner of the H. E. Marshall property; thence
North 4 degrees 15 minutes 19 seconds East along the east
line of said H. E. Marshall property, a distance of 685.00 feet
to an iron pipe in the northeast corner of said property; thence
North 83 degrees 45 minutes 58 seconds West along the H. E.
Marshall north property line, a distance of 309.22 feet to an
iron rod in said H. E. Marshall northwest corner, same
being in the east line of the Younker -Lee Subdivision; thence North
4 degrees 25 minutes 21 seconds East, with the east line of said
subdivision, a distance of 301.55 feet to an iron pipe in the
existing corporate limits, same being the old Paxton Park
boundary; thence North 53 degrees 27 mintues 56 seconds East,
with the existing corporate limits, a distance of 811.44 feet to

the northeast right of way line of the Paducah and Illinois Rail-
road, same being the existing corporate limits; thence South 44
degrees 34 minutes 45 seconds East along said northeast rail-
road right of way line, a distance of 1567.29 feet to the inter-

mentioned Hendron Water District property; thence South 1 de-

of said Hendron Water District property, and a north and south

The above described tract contains 37.60 acres.
SECTION 2. This ordinance of annexation shall be published in accordance
with the provisions of KRS 424 and upon final publication the territory described
above shall become a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for all purposes.
