AN -ORDINANCE, PROVIDING, FOR THE CLOSING OF ALLEYS LOCATED ON
BURNETT STREET - BETWEEN NORTH: NINTH --AND TENTH STREETS IN- THE CITY: OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
- -- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD - OF COMMISSIONERSp OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
-SECTION_ 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby -authorize the. closing
of alleys -located- on Burnett Street -between-North Ninth and. Tenth Streets in the City
_of. Paducah,. and more particularly described as follows:
ALLEY, NO. 1.
Beginning at a point , in the . south right of -way-, line. of a 10 -toot
alley said point lying 190 feet west of the west right of way line
of . Burnett Street. and 15.0 feet north of; the north- right. of : way line
of 10th Street; thence continuing in a westerly direction with the
south right of way line of said .alley a distance :of _.1.10: feet to .the.
west end of said alley; thence in a northerly direction and parallel
with Burnett Street 10 feet to a point in the .north right. of w:ay
line of said alley; thence in an easterly direction with the north
right of, way, line of said, ..alley .a distance of 110 feet; thence in a
southerly direction across said 1.0 foot alley to the point of ..begin-
ning,,
ALLEY NO. 2.
Beginning, at .the _intersection of the. 'east . right . of .way line of -a. 10
foot alley with the south .right of.,way -line of 9th Street, 150 feet
west of the , west right of way .line of Burnett Street; thence in a,
southerly direction with the east right of way line of said 10 foot
alley, and parallel with Burnett Street, a distance of 265 feet to
the north ,right, of way line, of another 10_ foot. alley; thence -in_a
westerly direction across_ said 10 foot- alley ^to - the west right of -
way line of said alley; thence in a northerly direction.. with the .
west right of way line of said alley, a distance of 265 feet to the
south right of .way .line. of .9th Street; thence in an easterly di-
rection across said 10 ,foot alley to the point of beginning..
SECTION 2.-, _That the Corporation . Counsel of the .City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to, KRS - 94.360,, an, action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment
ordering the closing of the ,alleys described in.. Section 11 above..
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
