ORDINANCE NO. 79-9-1782
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (a) AND (b) OF SECTION 10-58,
"CIVIL SERVICE" OF ORDINANCE NO. 78-7-1594 AND ORDINANCE NO. 79-6-1742,
CORRECTING A MISCALCULATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD , OF COMMISSIONERS -OF THE -CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Subsection (a) of Ordinance No. 78-7-1994, Police
Department, of the Civil Service Ordinance, be amended to read as follows:
"Position
Base Monthly Salary
Stenographer - record room $691.00t1
SECTION 2. That Subsection (b) of Ordinance No. 78-7-1594 be amended
to read as follows:
"The stenographer - record room shall be paid at the rate of $691.00
per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months
$701.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $712.00 per month; and at the
expiration of two years $722.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recom-
mendation of the city manager".
SECTION 3. That Subsection (a) of Ordinance No. 79-6-1742, Police
Department of the Civil Service Ordinance, be amended to read as follows:
"Position
Base Monthly Salary
Stenographer - record room $760.0011
SECTION 4. That Subsection (b) of Ordinance No. 79-6-1742 be amended
to read as follows:
"The stenographer - record room shall be paid at the rate of $760.00 per
month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $770.00
per month; at the expiration of one year $780.00 per month; and at the expiration
of two years $790.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of
the city manager".
SECTION 5. That all other provision of Section 10-58 of Ordinance Nos.
78-7-1594 and 79-6-1742, "Civil Service" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be reaffirmed and reordained.
SECTION 6. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, directed to
pay any employee affected by the above recalculation the difference between what
they were paid by the ordinances as they were originally passed and this ordinance.
SECTION 7. That Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance be retroactive to
July 3, 1978; and Sections 3 and 4 be retroactive to July 2, 1979.
