ORDINANCE NO. 79-6-1759
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF SOUTH TWENTY-THIRD
STREET LOCATED BETWEEN JACKSON STREET AND SOUTH BELTLINE HIGHWAY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of South 23rd Street located between Jackson Street and South Beltline Highway, and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the south right of way line of
Jackson Street and the -east right of ; way line of 23rd Street;
thence in a southerly direction with the east right of way
line of 2 -3rd Street to a point in the north right of way line
of South Beltline Highway; thence in a westerly direction along
the north, right of way line of South Beltline Highway projected
across 23rd Street to the west right of way line of 23rd Street;
thence in a 'northerly direction with 'the west right of way line
of 23rd Street to a point in the south right of way line of
Jackson Street; thence in an easterly direction - with the pro-
jected south line of Jackson Street across 23rd Street to the
point of beginning. --
SECTION 2. - That --the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah-, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and
prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action -in -the McCracken Circuit Court for
a judgment ordering the closing of the street described in Section 1 above .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
