HomeMy WebLinkAboutUse of Brooks Park by Minor League Baseball195 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF FACILITIES AT BROOKS PARK BY MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WHEREAS , tYie City of Paducah is presently the owner of real estate and' improvements known as Brooks Park; and - WHEREAS", said Brooks Park contains a stadium" designed for baseball and <' a parking' area adjacent thereto; -and _ '-'- ~ WHEREAS , the "City desires to make these facilities available to a minor league :professional' baseball team as inducement "for said team to be Iocated in said 'City; - AND WHEREAS , said- City desires to formalize this intention while reserving the right to approve scheduling of the facilities . NOW , 'THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: -~~'SECTION 1. ~ That the stadium known as "Brooks Stadium" and adjacent parking areas are to be made available for ~ professional: baseball "use .as needed' by any professional baseball program which establishes a team based ~in Paducah, .Kentucky. SECTION 2 . :That 'the City .would have approval over the scheduling of games so that presentr. °users_~ _of .the facility could `continue to utilize same: for their games . SECTION 3. The professional baseball .team shall ,reimburse the City";for the use of 'same""n.?accordance with'~a schedulerto''be agreed' upon between `representa- tives.. of the .City and tYie baseball team .
