HomeMy WebLinkAboutOptions for Public Works Garage193 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY , WITH JOHN SMITH, REALTOR, AUTHORIZING SAID REALTOR TO ACT AS AGENT OF THE CITY OF _, PADUCAH , KENTUCKY , IN ACQUIRING OPTIONS ON CERTAIN PARTIALS OF REAL ESTATE TO BE USED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 'BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the' City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized \and directed on behalf of the City of Paducah , Kentucky , to enter into a contract with John Smith, Realtor, whereby said Realtor will be authorized as an agent for the City . ... of Paducah; Kentucky, to acquire necessary options on certain partials of real estate .._ .~ lying within the corporate limits of the City of Paducah , Kentucky , and to be used in the development of a `public works garage . SECTION 2. That for each option- to purchase obtained by the said Realtor, the City agrees to pay a fee equivalent to ten percent (10 0) of the gross purchase price stated in the option, or' $'300.00 , ~ whichever is greater . The aforesaid fee is to be paid whether or not the City exercises it's option to purchase the property . SECTION `3. That the''aforesad contract shall contain such other terms and .: ,: provisions as may be deemed necessary and approved by the City Manager 'and City Engineer , provided however , that nothing contained therein shall irrevocably bind the City of Paducah .to purchase the subject properties until directed to do so by ordinance duly adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah , Kentucky . SECTION 4.
