HomeMy WebLinkAboutBids for Construction of Paxton Park Golf Club House191 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE PAXTON PARK GOLF CLUB HOUSE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY: SECTION 1-. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for construction of the Paxton Park Golf Club House, said invitation for bids to be as follows: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS: The City of Paducah , Kentucky , will receive bids for the construction of the Paxton Park Golf Club House until 2:00 P.M., local time, on the 3rd day of July, 1979, at the office of the City Engineer , City Hall ; Paducah , Kentucky , at which time all bids shall be _publicly:. opened and read aloud.. - , - PROJECT: The project consists of a two story building with locker rooms , pro-shop , club rooms , cart storage and related facilities . OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from the Architect by depositing $50.00 for each set, which will be refunded upon return in good condition within ten (10) days after bid opening . Copies of the documents are on file at Gresham-Keeling-Jones , Architects , P . O . Box 1251, 1203 Broadway, Paducah, Kentucky 42001 and Ladt- Marcum-Fuller , P . O . Box 307, 2100 Lone Oak Road , Paducah , Kentucky, 42001. Plans are also on file at: Associated General Contractors , Paducah , Kentucky Dodge Scan, Nashville, Tennessee Dodge Scan, Evansville, Indiana Dodge Scan, St. Louis, Missouri PROPOSAL GUARANTY: A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Paducah, negotiable U . S . Government Bonds (at par value) , or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total of Bid for Site Preparation shall be submitted with each Bid . WAGE RATES: Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project . OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Paducah. CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY By: James C . Tidwell, City Manager SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice posted on the bulletin board at City Hall and by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. No bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which the resolution is adopted and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed for .the opening of bids . All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the best ~'"~ responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all 192 bids.
