HomeMy WebLinkAboutInstallation of Street Lighting182 i A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM TO COMMENCE INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTING IN THE WEST END (NEWLY ANNEXED) AREA AND APPROVING THE STREET LIGHTING PLAN WHEREAS , the Courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky have recently approved annexation of various territories located in the west end of the City of Paducah, and WHEREAS , the City of Paducah recognizes an obligation to provide street lights to the aforesaid area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Paducah Power System is hereby authorized and directed to commence installation of street lighting in the aforesaid area, in conformance with the terms and provisions of the Street Lighting Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof . SECTION 2. That the City Manager and/or the City Engineer shall be authorized to approve alternate locations for street lights upon being advised by Paducah Power System that such alternate locations are necessary and in the best interest of the citizens being served . SECTION 3.
