ORDINANCE NO. 79-4-1714
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT
SEVENTH AND CLAY STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -
1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Com-
mission on April 16, 1979, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT
OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED AT SEVENTH AND CLAY STREETS", be approved as the final report of
said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to ' be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be,
and it is hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to B-3, General
Business Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center-
line of '. Seventh" Street Vith the intersection of the
centerline of Clay ' Street; thence in an easterly di-
rection and with the centerline of Clay Street 203.25
feet; thence in a northerly direction, along an alley-
way, and along the line separating the lands of Inez
Burnett from the lands of George Wilkey 206.25 feet;
thence in a westerly direction and with the line
separating the lands of Gary Carter from the lands
of. George Wilkey -203.25, feet; to the. centerline of
Seventh Street; thence in a southerly direction and
with the . centerline of Seventh ,Street 20.6.25 feet .to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordi-
nance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from
all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
