HomeMy WebLinkAboutTreament of State Offenders Lodged in Jail49 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE , BUREAU OF CORRECTIONS , PER- TAINING TO THE POLICIES GOVERNING THE CUSTODY AND TREATMENT OF STATE OFFENDERS LODGED IN THE PADUCAI3 CITY JAIL WHEREAS, from time to time state offenders are lodged in the Paducah City Jail, and WHEREAS`, during such periods it is the responsibility. of the City of Paducah to retain said offender 'in safe custody and to administer certain 'needs and treatments , and WHEREAS , it is the desire ' of the Bureau of corrections and the City of Paducah to enter into' an agreement in order to properly define the rolls and responsibilities of each party under the aforesaid circumstances . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE 'CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY SECTION 1.That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into an agreement with the Kentucky Department of Justice , Bureau of Corrections , for the purpose of establishing general policies ~whicli shall be followed by the Bureau of Corrections and the City of Paducah pertaining to the custody and treatment of state offenders lodged in the Paducah City Jail. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption . Mayor Passed by the Board of Commissioners February 13, 1979.
