ORDINANCE NO. 79-1-1680
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN
AN AREA BOUNDED BY JOE BRYAN DRIVE, GUTHRIE AVENUE, GOEBEL AVENUE
AND SOUTH 16TH STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -
1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Com-
mission on January 15, 1979, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL
REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN AN AREA BOUNDED BY JOE BRYAN DRIVE, GUTHRIE
AVENUE, GOEBEL AVENUE AND SOUTH 16TH STREET", be approved as the final
report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amend-
ment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in
agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3, Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3,
General Business Zone:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Joe Bryan Drive with the intersection of the center
line of Guthrie Avenue; thence in an easterly di-
rection and with the center line of Guthrie Avenue
approximately 381 feet to the center line of Goebel
Avenue; thence in a northerly direction and with
the center line of Goebel Avenue approximately 335
feet to the intersection of the center line of Goebel
Avenue and the center line of 16th Street; thence
in a northwesterly direction and with the center line
of 16th Street to the intersection of the center line
of 16th Street and Joe Bryan Drive; thence in a
southerly direction and with the center line of Joe
Bryan Drive to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the
deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any
other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of
this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
