AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COM-
MISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON CAIRO ROAD, AND AMENDING
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on November 21, 1983, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON CAIRO
ROAD", be approvedasthe final report of said Commission respecting the matters
therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agree-
ment with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be,
and it is hereby, changed from R-1, Low Density Residential Zone to B-1, Con-
venience and Service Zone:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of Cairo Road (Ky. 305)
said point being 60 feet more or less east of the centerline
of Olivet Church Road; thence in a southerly direction along
the dividing line of land owned by Charles Beyer, a distance
of 1600 feet to a point in the north right-of-way line of the
P & I Railroad; thence.in a westerly direction along the north
right-of-way line of the P & I Railroad a distance of 200 feet
to a point; thence in a northerly direction along the dividing
line of land owned by Charles Beyer, B. G. Lane and Frank
Hodges, a distance of .1,270 feet to a point; said point being
the southwest corner of property owned by James Thomasson;
thence in an easterly direction along the south property line
of James Thomasson, a distance of 150 feet to the southeast
corner of the property line of James Thomasson; thence in a
northerly direction and along the east property line of James
Thomasson a distance of 275 feet to the centerline of Cairo
Road; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of
Cairo Road, a distance of 150 feet, to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordi-
nance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the
deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect
any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent
of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
