ORDINANCE NO. 83-7-2411/
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF PADUCAH PLANNING COMMIS-
SION, PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF DEDICATED STREETS IN THE BUCKNER ESTATES
SUBDIVISION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City. of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of all dedicated streets .within the Buckner Estates Subdivision as originally
recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 642, and which are more particularly described
as follows:
ROCKAWAY DRIVE
A strip of land located in Buckner Estates Subdivision, Paducah,
McCracken County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 642
being 50 feet wide, 25 feet either side of a centerline more parti-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of Rockaway Drive, said point
being located 70 feet more or less north of the intersection. of the
centerline of Buckner Lane and the centerline of Rockaway Drive;
thence from the point of beginning in a northerly direction along the
centerline .of Rockaway Drive a. distance of 10.4 feet to the point of
curvature of a 10 degree curve to the right; thence continuing with
said centerline an arc distance of 185 feet to the point of tangency
of said curve; thence continuing with the centerline of Rockaway Drive
in a northerly direction a distance of 113 feet to the intersection of
said centerline and the centerline of Western Blvd.; thence continuing
with the centerline: of.Rockaway Drive in a northerly direction a
distance of 193.36 feet to the point of curvature of a 8 degree curve
to the left; thence continuing with said centerline_an are distance. -of
151.25 feet to the point of tangency of said curve; thence continuing
with the centerline of Rockaway Drive in a northerly direction a
distance of 21.34 feet to the intersection of said centerline and the
centerline of Cherry Tree Avenue; thence continuing with the center-
line of Rockaway Drive in a northerly direction a distance of 565.92
feet to the intersection of said centerline and the centerline of
Miles .Avenue; thence continuing along the centerline of Rockaway Drive
in a northerly direction a distance of 200.33 feet to the north
boundary of the Buckner Estates Subdivision.
Also included with the above described right-of-way.are those areas at
each right-of-way intersection bounded by the above described parallel
right-of-way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius.
CHERRY TREE AVENUE
A strip of land located in Buckner Estates Subdivision, Paducah,
McCracken County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page .642.,
being 50 feet wide, 25 feet either side of a centerline more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Rockaway
Drive and the centerline of Cherry Tree Avenue, said point being 752
feet more or less north of the intersection of the centerline of
Rockaway Drive and the centerline of Buckner --Lane. as recorded- in
Buckner Estates .Subdivision,:Paducah,--McCracken County, Kentucky:in
Plat,. Book "G"; . Page 642;- thence. -from the point -of beginning. in a.
westerly_ direction. along the centerline of Cherry Tree Avenue a_
distance of 49.22..f:eet to.: the.,po:int of curvature of a_11.019:degree
curve to the right; thence continuing with said centerline -an arc
distance of 816.77 feet.:t:o the-point.of tangency of said curve.; thence
continuing with the centerline of. Cherry Tree.. Avenue in .a northerly
direction a distance of 45 feet to the intersection of said centerline
and the centerline of Miles Avenue; thence continuing with the center-
line of Cherry Tree Avenue in a.northerly direction -a distance of 200
feet to the north boundary of the Buckner Estates Subdivision.
Also included with'the above described right-of-way are those areas at
each right-of-way.intersection bounded by the above described parallel
right-of-way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius.

FOUR SEASONS COURT
A strip of land and a cul-de-sac located in Buckner Estates Subdivision,
Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page
642, being 50 feet wide, 25 feet either side of -a centerline more partic-
ularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Western Blvd.
and the centerline of Four Seasons Court, said point being 992 feet more or
less west of the intersection of the centerlines of Rockaway Drive and
Western Blvd., which is 386.feet more or less.north of the intersection of
the centerlines of Buckner Lane and Rockaway Drive as recorded in Buckner
Estates Subdivision,Paducah; McCracken County, Kentucky in Plat Book "G",
Page 642; thence from the point of beginning in a northerly direction along
the centerline. of Four Seasons Court a distance of 325 feet to the center
point of a 50 foot radius cul-de-sac.
Also included with the above described right-of-way are those areas at each
right-of-way intersection bounded by the above described parallel right-of-
way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius.
WESTERN BOULEVARD
A strip of land located in Buckner Estates Subdivision, Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 642, being 50 feet
wide, 25 feet either side of a centerline more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Rockaway Drive
and the centerline of Western Blvd., said point being 386 feet more or less
north of the intersection of the centerline of. Rockaway Drive and the
centerline of Buckner Lane as recorded in Buckner Estates Subdivision,
Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky in Plat Book "G", Page 642; thence from
the point of beginning in a westerly direction along the centerline of
Western Blvd. a distance of 241.86 feet to the point of curvature of a
4.755 degree curve to the left; thence continuing with said centerline an
arc distance of 139.85 feet to the point of tangency of said curve; thence
continuing with the centerline of Western Blvd: in a westerly direction a
distance of 610.37 feet to the intersection of.said. centerline andthe
centerline of Four Seasons Court; thence continuing with the centerline of
Western Blvd. in a westerly direction a distance of 100 feet to the point
of curvature of a 14.904 degree curve to the right; thence continuing with
said centerline an arc distance of 285.38 feet to the point of tangency of
said curve; thence continuing with the centerline of Western Blvd. in a
northerly direction a distance of 334.2 feet to the point of curvature of a
16.119 degree curve to the right; thence continuing with said centerline an
arc distance of 240.40 feet to the .point of tangency of said curve; thence
continuing with the centerline of -Western Blvd. in a northerly direction a
distance of 115 feet to the intersection of said centerline and the center-
line of Miles Avenue; thence continuing with the centerline of Western
Blvd. in a northerly direction a distance of 200 feet to the north boundary
line of the Buckner Estates Subdivision.
Also included with the above described right-of-way are those areas at each
right-of-way intersection bounded by the above-described parallel right-of-
way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius.
MILES AVENUE
A strip of land located in Buckner Estates Subdivision, Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 642, being 50 feet
wide, 25 feet either side of a centerline more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Miles Avenue at
a point in the east boundary line of the Buckner Estates Subdivision said
point being 230 feet more or less east of the -intersection of the center-
lines -of Rockaway Drive and Miles Avenue, which is 1318 feet more or less
north of the intersection of the centerlines of Buckner Lane and Rockaway
Drive; thence from the point of beginning .in a westerly direction along the
centerline of Miles Avenue a distance of 2.30 feet more or less to the
intersection of said centerline -and the centerline of Rockaway Drive;
thence continuing with the centerline of. Miles Avenue in a westerly di-
rection a distance of 601.47 feet to the point of intersection of said
centerline and the centerline of Cherry Tree Avenue; thence continuing with
the centerline of Miles Avenue in'a westerly direction a distance of 1000
feet to the point of intersection of said centerline and the centerline of
Western Blvd.; thence continuing with the centerline of Miles Avenue in a
westerly direction a distance of 495 feet more or less to the west boundary
line of the Buckner Estates Subdivision.

Also included with the above described right-of-way are those areas at each
right-of-way intersection bounded by the above described parallel right-of-
way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering
the closing of the streets described in Section 1 above.
SECTION, 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
