ORDINANCE NO. 82-12-2332.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF $25,135.00 TO UNITED STATES ENVI-
RONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1973, Construction Grant Number C210326-01 was
awarded to the City of Paducah by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), for modi-
fication and expansion of the City's primary waste water treatment plant to a sec-
ondary treatment plant; and
WHEREAS,, EPA was to pay 75 pereent_of.the preparation of final plans and
specification, and
and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1982,,completion of .the audit field work was made,
WHEREAS, an audit report shows a refund is due the Environmental Protection
Agency in the amount of $25,135.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION.1. That the Mayor and City Treasurer be authorized to pay to
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the sum of $25,135.00, for ineligible and
disallowed charges for construction Grant No. C210326-01; which audit shows the
following approved expenditures:
Basic Engineering Fees
$139,765.
Other Engineering Fees
15,971.
Pr-oj.ect Inspection
33,453.
Construction Cost
2,365,417.
Miscellaneous
6,590.
Total Eligible Cost
2,561,196.
Federal Share (7S%)
1,920,897.
Less Previous EPA payments
1,946,032.
Balance due Environmental Pro-
tection Agency
25,135.
SECTION 2. That the Sewer Depreciation and Extension Fund shall be charged
with the aforesaid expenditure.
SECTION 3. Since a 11.98% penalty will be due and payable on this over-
payment by EPA if not paid immediately, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage at one reading.
