ORDINANCE NO. 82-9-2297
AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OP PJAMUCAH, KE+TrmrTCK`J,
DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY -OF -SUCH
ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, KRS 81A.420 provides that a City may annex
unincorporated territory, and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tract of land is owned'by
Paducah Country Club, Inc., and said owner being the only owner
thereof, and
WHEREAS; the aforesaid owner -has requested that the City of
Paducah proceed:to annex the herinafter described land- and consents to
said annexation
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain.land lying
adjacent and contiguous to -the corporate limits;'more particularly
described hereinafter, be annexed to, the City of'Paducah, Kentucky,
and that said property so proposed to be annexed is accurately
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of
Blandville Road (US 62), said point being the intersection
-of the south right-of-way line of Blandville Road (US 62)
and the west corporate city limit line; thence in a westerly
direction with the south right-of-way line of Blandville
Road (US 62) to a point of intersection with the north
right-of-way line of Olivet Church Road projected across

right-of-way line of Olivet Church Road and with the

Note: this description was taken from the plat of survey
made by Florence and Hutcheson, Inc., and dated October,
1978.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the
boundary of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property
described in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in The Paducah
Sun, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by
the Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of the city limits as
herein proposed shall not become effective until the adoption of an
ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1 hereof, and
such ordinance shall not be adopted until after publication of this
ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a period of
sixty (60) days after the enactment of this ordinance.
SECT'I'ON 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate
days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified
summary thereof.
