ORDINANCE NO. 83-5-2378
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY GENERAL WARRANTY DEED OF A STRIP OF
LAND TO JOE C. MARSHALL
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah owns property located at the dead end of
West Jefferson Street, and
WHEREAS, Joe C. Marshall, P. -O. Box 88613 Paducah, Kentucky; would like to
purchase -said property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY" OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY::
SECTION.1.. The City of -Paducah hereby accepts the offer. of Joe C.
Marshall to purchase from.the City of Paducah, the property located at the dead end
of West Jefferson Street; and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a
deed from the City of Paducah, for:the consideration of the sum of .$1,000.00, said
property -more -particularly described as follows
-Being located ini the Pine Park Subdivision, Paducah, Kentucky, a
revised plat of same being recorded in Plat Book "G", page 168, in
the McCracken'County Court Clerk's Office, and being that portion
of said subdivision identified and marked on said plat as follows
"To -be- deeded to City -by owner"; and,heginnng at a point in the
Northerly line of Jefferson Street near the Westerly end of Jeffer-
son Street, as shown by said plat, said beginning point being
marked by a 4"x4"x36" concrete marker, and said beginning point is
-the beginning of a circular turn -around at the Westerly end of
Jefferson Street; thence following the Northerly and Westerly line
of Jefferson Street, and following the circular course thereof,
137.28 feet to another 4"x4"x36" concrete marker; thence in a
Northwesterly direction 249:28 feet to another 4"x4"x36'' concrete
marker; thence in an Easterly direction and forming an -interior
angle 22 degrees and 41 minutes 249.28 feet to the point of begin-
ning, and being --part of the same property which was -conveyed to
James R. Reeves by deed dated May 30, 1963, of recordzn Deed Book
447, page 405, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah by James R.
Reeves and wife, Margaret Reeves, by deed dated the'llth day of
July, 1966, and recorded in Deed Book 480, page 171, in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel is authorized to draw all deeds and
any other documents necessary to accomplish the purposes of this ordinances.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified copy thereof.
