HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-1-2348ORDINANCE NO. 83-1-2348 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION, PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF STREETS IN THE OAK VIEW SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, on December 20, 1982, the Paducah Planning Commission approved the closing of various streets in the Oak View Subdivision, and WHEREAS, the Paducah Planning Commission requested the City Commission to approve the closing of said streets, except for certain sections shown in the motion of Paducah Planning Commission. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of various streets in the Oak View Subdivision, which are more particularly described as follows: Dedicated streets are to be abolished in the below described area in Oak View Subdivision as originally recorded in Plat Book "G", page 174. PpnTVY LAW A strip of land located in Oak View Subdivision, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 174, being fifty feet wide, twenty-five feet either side of a centerline more particu- larly described as follows: Beginning in 32nd Street south right-of-way line at a point 30 feet south of the centerline of 32nd Street said point in the centerline of 32nd Street being 295 feet east of the centerline of Pines Road; thence from the point of beginning in a southerly direction along the centerline of Peony Lane a distance of 309.46 feet to the point of curvature of a 27.135120 curve to the left; thence continuing with said centerline an arc distance of 67.42 feet to the point of tan- gency of said curve; thence continuing with said centerline in a southerly direction a distance of 210.87 feet to the centerline of River Oaks Blvd. Also included with the above described right-of-way are those areas at each right-of-way intersection bounded by the above described parallel right-of-way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius. PORTION OF RIVER OAKS BLVD. A strip of land located in Oak View Subdivision, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, as recorded in Plat Book "G", Page 174, being fifty feet wide, twenty-five feet either side of a centerline more particu- larly described as follows: Beginning in 32nd Street south right-of-way line at a point 30 feet south of the centerline of 32nd Street said point in the centerline of 32nd Street being 589.83 feet east of the centerline of Pines Road; thence from the point of beginning in a southerly direction along the centerline of River Oaks Blvd. a distance of 63.46 feet to the point of curvature of a 11.30050 curve to the right; thence continuing with said centerline an arc distance of 67.90 feet to the point of tangency of said curve; thence continuing with said center- line in a southerly direction a distance of 294.37 feet to the point of curvature of a 34.970580 curve to the right; thence continuing with said centerline an arc distance of 186.75 feet to the point of tangency of said curve; thence continuing with said centerline in a westerly direction a distance of 62.42 feet to the point of inter- section of the centerline of Peony Lane; thence continuing with the centerline of River Oaks Blvd. in a westerly direction a distance of 46.02 feet to the point of curvature of a 16.159690 curve to the right; thence continuing with said centerline an arc distance of 105.20 feet to the point of tangency of said curve; thence continuing with said centerline in a westerly direction a distance of 74.01 feet to a point said point being located 150 feet east of the centerline of Pines Road; Also included with the above described right-of-way are those areas at each right-of-way intersection bounded by the above described parallel right-of-way limits and the arcs described by a 20 foot radius. 491 492 SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the streets described in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. John K.
