ORDINANCE NO. 81-8-2142
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE TWO LICENSES WITH ILLINOIS
CENTRAL GULF RAILROAD COMPANY FOR UNDERGROUND PIPELINE, CABLES AND CONDUITS AND TO
PAY THE SUM OF $175.00 AND $75.00 RESPECTIVELY, UPON EXECUTION OF SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah execute License No. P6138 with
Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company for underground pipeline, cables and conduits
across, along and underneath the property of the Railroad 56 feet -east of the east
bulkhead of Bridge JP 230-9E near -Paducah-, Kentucky, and pay the sum of $175.00 upon
execution of same, and License No. P6139 with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company
for underground pipeline, cables and conduits across, along and underneath the
property of the Railroad beneath Bridge No. 8-96 near Paducah, Kentucky, and pay the
sum of $75.00 upon execution of same; said Licenses being in substantial compliance
with the License Agreements submitted by Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company dated
August 12, 1981.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a
Licenses with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company, according to the Licenses for
Underground Pipelines, Cables and Conduits attached hereto and made a part hereof, as
if fully set out herein.
SECTION 3. The cost for said Licenses covered by this agreement shall be
charged to Sewer Depreciation and Extension Account.
SECTION 4. Due to the need to proceed as rapidly as possible in
construction of the Perkins Creek Sanitary Sewer System, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effective upon its
passage at one reading.
