ORDINANCE NO. 81-7-2120
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF JAKE BROWN AND
ASSOCIATES AS AUCTIONEER FOR THE PUBLIC AUCTION OF CERTAIN REAL
ESTATE OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS, the -City -of Paducah owns certain real estate consisting of City
lots which are excess real- estate and of -no value to the City for Governmental
purposes, and
WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised- Statutes allow the City to dispose of excess
real estate by :means of a public auction, and
WHEREAS, Jake Brown and Associates have submitted a proposal to the
City for- auctioning certain -City property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY 'OF PADUCAH, .
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
with Jake Brown. and Associates to act as auctioneer for the City of Paducah on
the following described property:
A. Real estate lots within the City of Paducah more particularly described
by their street address as follows:
West side 11th 74.67' south of Adams Street

City Engineer.
SECTION 2. Subject to approval by the Board of Commissioners, the
property located at 9th and Madison Streets - formerly Public Works Department.
SECTION 3. All real estate is to be sold by Quitclaim Deed for cash to the
highest bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids received,
and all sales of real estate are subject to confirmation by the Board of Commissioners
within thirty (30) days from the date of the auction.
SECTION 4. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Jake Brown
and Associates a fee for their services computed as follows:
A. A maximum of $1,000 for advertising, plus
B. Seven percent (7%) of the gross sales price of all real estate.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
