ORDINANCE NO. 81-4-2086
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT TO WALKER BOAT YARD,
THE SUM OF $3,650.00 FOR REPAIRS TO THE SCRAPER USED BY THE REFUSE
DEPARTMENT ON THE LANDFILL SITE, RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE CITY
MANAGER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS, during the past few weeks, mechanical problems have
hindered the efforts for coverage of refuse on the City's landfill, and
WHEREAS, upon the advice of the Director of the Refuse Department, the
City Manager deemed an emergency existed and that it is imperative that said
scraper be repaired as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager certified an emergency existed and
authorized the immediate repair of said equipment to properly cover refuse at
the landfill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City pay to Walker Boat Yard the sum of $3,650.00
for repairs to the landfill scraper, to cover refuse on the City's landfill.
SECTION 2. The action of the City Manager, certifying an emergency
exist is hereby approved and ' his actions thereunder are hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said services shall be charged to
General Fund Account No. 3522.
SECTION 4. Due to the necessity of covering refuse on the City's land-
fill, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately upon passage by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky.
