AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRADSHAW & WEIL INSURANCE COMPANY FOR GENERAL
LIABILITY, BUILDING AND CONTENTS, AUTO, EQUIPMENT, CRIME, EARTHQUAKE AND PUBLIC
OFFICIAL LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1984 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1987
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah advertised for bids for insurances, and
WHEREAS, two bids were received, and
WHEREAS, the bid of Western Rivers did not meet specifications in that their bid
on automobile liability was tentative and not, a firm bid and further, the speci-
fications':.called for rates to be guaranteed for three years with the exception of auto
rates and Western Rivers' bid was only guaranteed for one year on general liability,
and
WHEREAS, Bradshaw and Weil did meet all material specifications and is the lowest
responsive bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Bradshaw and Weil for building and public liability,
excess liability, auto, equipment, crime and public official liability is hereby
accepted in the amount of $95,742.00. The actual amount of premium may vary due to
changes in items covered, however, the base rates are guaranteed for three years.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to enter. into a contract with Bradshaw and
Weil for the insurance coverage set out in section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This payment shall be charged to Account No. 20-500-150-226.
SECTION 4. The present insurance expires on June 30, 1984, and in order not to
have a lapse in insurance coverage, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be adopted upon one its passage with one reading.
