ORDINANCE NO. 84-3-2488
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION
RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON CAIRO ROAD, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING
ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on February
20, 1984, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON CAIRO ROAD", be approved as the
final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in
said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the compre-
hensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of 'the following property be, and it is
hereby, changed from R-1, Low Density Residential Zone to B-1, Convenience and Service Zone:
TRACT I.
Beginning at a point—An the centerline of Cairo Road (Ky. 305) said point being
150 feet, more or less, west of the centerline of Olivet Church Road; thence in
a southerly direction along the east property line of James Thomasson, a
distance of 275 feet; thence in a westerly direction along the south property
line of James Thomasson, a distance of 150 feet to a point in the east property
line of Frank Hodges and B. G. Lane and being the west property line of Charles
Beyer; thence along said property line a distance of 1270 feet to a point in
the north right-of-way line of the P & I Railroad; thence in a westerly di-
rection along the north property line of the P & I Railroad, said line also
being the south property line of B. G. Lane and Henry Finch, a distance of 400
feet to the west line of Paducah City limits, said line also being the west
property line of Henry Finch; thence in a northerly direction along the west
property line of Henry Finch and the Paducah City Limit line, a distance of
1235 feet to a point in the centerline of Cairo Road; thence in an easterly
direction and along the centerline of Cairo Road a distance of 580 feet to the
point of beginning.
TRACT II.
Beginning at a point in the centerline of Olivet Church Road, said point being
250 feet, more or less, southeast of the centerline of Cairo Road; thence in an
easterly direction along the centerline of Olivet Church Road, a distance of
125 feet to a point in the centerline of Olivet Church Road; thence in a
southerly direction and along the east property line of Phillip Higdon and
being the west property line of Edmond Alvey, a distance of 150 feet to a point
in the south property line of Phillip Higdon; thence along the south property
line of Phillip Higdon a distance of 98 feet to a point in the west property
line of Phillip Higdon; thence along said property line a distance of 210 feet
more of less to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be f
to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such
section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph an
provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
