ORDINANCE NO. 84-2-2482
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF THE COOPER AND MILLER PROPERTY FROM THE
HISTORICAL -NEIGHBORHOOD ZONE TO B-3, GENERAL BUSINESS ZONE
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 81-5-2091, adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 12, 1982 and
published by The Paducah Sun on May 18, 1982, rezoned the Lowertown Neighborhood to H-2, Hist rical-
Neighborhood Zone, and
WHEREAS, by Civil Action No. 81 -CI -510 the Circuit Court entered Judgment directing that said
property be deleted from the Historical -Neighborhood zone, and
Court.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Paducah to carry out the directive of the Circuit
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is
changed from H-2, Historical -Neighborhood Zone to B-3, General Business Zone:
VILLA CORPORATION - A. L. MILLER PROPERTY
Beginning at the-nenterline of the intersection of North 9th Street and Monroe
Street; thence in a westerly direction and along the center line of Monroe Street, a
distance of 502.5 feet to the centerline of the New Orleans, Chicago and St. Louis
Railroad Tracks; thence along the centerline of the NC & St. Louis Railroad Tracks,
a distance of 221.9 feet to the north property line of the Villa Corporation; thence
along the said north property line a distance of 415.25 feet to the centerline of
North 9th Street; thence along the centerline of North 9th Street and in a southerly
direction a distance of 195.15 feet to the point of beginning.
E. L. COOPER PROPERTY
Beginning at the centerline of the intersection of North 6th Street and Park Avenue;
thence in a northerly direction a distance. of 203.2 feet to the centerline of a 26.5
foot alley; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of said 26.5 foot
alley to the east property line of E. L. Cooper a distance of 116.62 feet; thence in
a southerly direction along the east property line of E. L. Cooper to the centerline
of Park Avenue a distance of 203.2 feet; thence in a westerly direction and along
the centerline of Park Avenue a distance of 116.62 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be fc
be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such se
paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it be
purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
